Naijalane’s e-interview with the C.E.O.of

Naijalane: Please,Introduce yourself to the readers.
Rosy: The name is Rosy Omeje, am from Enugu state and currently a Social work, 400level student of University of Nigeria Nsukka.

Naijalane: When did you start blogging and Which blog did you start with?
Rosy: I started blogging in 2015 and my first blog was

Naijalane: Which blog do you run now?.
Rosy: I run now.

Naijalane: Do you have other blog(s) that you run?
Rosy: I only run my own blog and co-run other blogs like,, and a lot of other blogs.

Naijalane: What do you do aside blogging?
Rosy: Aside blogging, I model and do other computer services

Naijalane: How do you cope?
Rosy: Well. When you love doing something; you don’t have much problem shuffling it with other things. So I do other things at the usual time and use my free time to work on the blog.

Naijalane: What was your aim when you started ?
Rosy: When I started I was actually aimless! I was doing it not to really satisfy anything but just to pass time. But with time I noticed I was actually touching people and influencing people positively became my aim.

Naijalane: What motivated you to go into blogging?
Rosy: My motivation was the need to have an indestructible place to write down my daily activities. I actually needed an electronic diary to write down my daily experiences so I decided to open a blog for that.

Naijalane: How would you describe your blogging style?
Rosy: I don’t have a blogging particular style; I just freestyle 😋

Naijalane: I read that you are also into e-modelling, can you tell us about it?
Rosy: E-modeling is modeling online, taking contests online, doing every part of the modeling online. It may involve taking a picture of a part of a body for advert by modeling agencies online, or uploading a photo for a contest with other models online. I have participated in both and its been a pleasant experience. .

Naijalane: What type of networking do you think is better to enhance traffic to the blog?
Rosy: To me the best networking to enhance traffic to your blog is loyal audience! Sharing links on social media is a nice try but you may only get the traffic for a short time! But when you have a loyal audience you may not need to share links anywhere; you may be lucky to get those people do the sharing for you. Personally, I can’t remember posting a link to social media yet my traffic is cool. This is because I have a very very loyal audience who are always returning to the blog and share interesting links themselves.

Naijalane: What do you consider as the best service a blogger can provide to his readers?
Rosy: Well, I don’t consider any particular service the best. It actually depends on the readers and the blogger! There are lots of cool services a blogger can provide his readers; he just have to check what he can offer comfortably. For my readers; you have given them the best thing when you announce a giveaway! And because I can comfortably offer that, I do it once in a while. Every blogger should check to see the need of the readers then he can know the best service to provide for them.

Naijalane: What’s your ideal working environment?
Rosy: Working from the comfort of my room is my ideal working environment.

Naijalane: What do you think is the best strategy that worked well for you to get more traffic to your blog?
Rosy: My best strategies are making great posts, engaging posts and most importantly posts that solve a problem; these keeps readers engaged and always coming back while also sharing the links they find useful. This is like the best way to get traffic aside search engine.

Naijalane: In your opinion, is it better to blog about something that you know personally that has low search volume or blog about a topic that you would have to research that has high search volume ?
Rosy: You can blog about what you know, you can blog about what you can research on and you can do the both! They are all good and also depending on you. I do the both and its cool.

Naijalane: You would have heard Lots about blogging, can you tell us the one(s) you don’t believe to be true ?
Rosy: The number one untrue thing about blogging is that it is a get-rich-quick platform! This has thrown a lot of people into unnecessarily filling up the blogosphere!
Another annoying untrue thing is that you can’t beat top bloggers in the competition! That’s an annoying statement yet untrue! When I started serious blogging; I saw a lot of people who were far ahead of me in the same niche and I told myself I would beat them in no time.

Trust me, I got ahead of many of them before I knew what I was even doing and I am pretty sure I would still beat the others I am yet to overthrow.

The thing there is just knowing how to play your cards well

Naijalane: How long did it take before you started to see 1000 visitors a month ?
Rosy: My first month of blogging gave me more than 1000 visitors.

Naijalane: When do you feel is the right time to monetize a blog ? e.g Adverts n Promotion etc.
Rosy: There is no right time to monetize a blog, it all depends on the blogger.

Naijalane: Do you earn well as a blogger and is it worth the time you dedicate?
Rosy: Well, I can’t compare the time I dedicate to it and the money I earn. But its still worth it.

Naijalane: People used to be able to write short 300 word articles and rank well for high traffic keywords. How long should content be in today’s world of blogging ?
Rosy: Unless you are writing your articles to get adsense; the length of your article doesn’t matter! It all depends on how you create it. An article may just be 300 words yet it ranks higher than the one of 2500 words.

Naijalane: What’s your advice to aspiring and existing bloggers?
Rosy: To aspiring bloggers; don’t ever see blogging as a get-rich-quick platform. If you try to jump into blogging with that mindset, you would jump out faster than you did.
For existing bloggers; keep aiming higher and you would certainly go farther than those at the top of your niche.
